??????More from Sandy: My dream was never to be a fabric designer but to create greeting cards. In 1972, I pitched this idea to my high school guidance counselor, who dismissed it, saying an art class grade didn't make me an artist. It took a while, but in 1988, I launched my greeting card company, My Dream Designs, to prove my counselor wrong. By 1992, my passion for sewing, which I started at age 8, led me to create my quilt pattern company, Pieces From My Heart, and in 1994, I began a fulfilling 25-year career in fabric design. Designing fabric, combining my love for art and sewing, let me explore colors and textures, and I hope people see a bit of me in every design.
